Baptism of the Lord

The true nature of Jesus was revealed again on the occasion of his baptism by John in the Jordan River with the descent of the Holy Spirit. A four-part sermon series on the Holy Spirit begins today with a sermon entitled Holy Spirit: Free Agent, based on Luke 3:15-22 and Acts 8:14-17.

Holy Spirit

Today's sermon, Holy Spirit: Binding Agent explores what we mean by "the unity of the Holy Spirit" and is based on 1 Corinthians 12:1-11. The Church School children will sing, "Let There be Peace on Earth" in honor of Martin Luther King Day.

Holy Spirit and Christian Leadership

The Holy Spirit and Christian Leadership is the third sermon in a four-part series on the Holy Spirit, and is baed on Luke 4:14-21 and 1 Corinthians 12:12-31. The Annual Congregational Meeting will take place immediately after worship. A special offering will be received for the 2010 Apportionment.

Mission Sunday

The guest speaker today comes to us from the Community Agency for Senior Citizens (CASC). Rev. Boling's meditation, Holy Spirit: Agent of Mercy will be the last in the series on the Holy Spirit, and will be based on Luke 4:21-30.
